Electronic devices can be charged when the vehicle is in the ON position.
You can check the charging progress directly on the connected electronic device.
After charging is complete or when the USB charger is no longer needed, disconnect the USB cable from the port.
Rated output: 9.0 V/Max 3.0 A
A smartphone or tablet PC may become warm during the charging process. This is generally normal and does not indicate a problem with the Kia Telluride charging system.
Some smartphones, tablets, or other devices that use a different charging method may not recharge properly through this USB charger. In that case, use the dedicated charger recommended for your device.
The USB charging terminal is intended only for recharging compatible devices. Do not use this terminal to operate the audio system or play media through the infotainment system.
NOTE
Use the USB charger while the vehicle is running whenever possible. Using the USB charger for a long time while the vehicle is off may discharge the 12V battery.
To help prevent damage to the USB charger:
Do not insert foreign objects into the outlet or allow liquids to spill into the charging port. Doing so may damage the USB charging terminal.
Do not connect devices with an operating current higher than 3,000 mA (3.0 A).
TIP
Charging may not work properly when a USB Type-C to USB Type-A converter is used.
