Subaru Forester: Lighting / Battery saver function

This feature is designed to protect the vehicle battery from excessive discharge if the exterior lights are accidentally left on. Once the engine is turned off and the driver's door is opened, the system automatically switches off the position lamps.

However, if you operate the lighting switch after the vehicle has been turned off, the position lamps will remain illuminated even with the driver's door open.

If you intentionally want the lights to stay on after parking your Kia Telluride, switch the position lamps off and then back on again using the headlamp switch located on the steering column.
