Subaru Forester: Lighting / Headlight delay function
If the vehicle is switched to the OFF or ACC position while the headlamps are on, both the headlamps and position lamps will remain illuminated for approximately five minutes, helping light your path after leaving the vehicle.
After the vehicle is turned off, opening and then closing the driver's door will cause the headlamps and position lamps to switch off automatically after approximately 15 seconds.
You can also turn the lights off sooner by pressing the smart key's lock button twice or by moving the lighting switch to the OFF position. If the switch is moved to the AUTO position while ambient lighting conditions remain dark, the headlamps may continue operating automatically.
The headlight delay feature can be enabled or disabled through the Settings menu on the infotainment system display. If your Kia Telluride is equipped with additional navigation or multimedia functions, refer to the separate infotainment manual for detailed instructions.
TIP
If the driver exits the Kia Telluride through a door other than the driver's door, the battery saver function may not activate and the headlight delay function may not switch the lights off automatically.
To avoid discharging the 12-volt battery in this situation, turn the headlamps off manually before leaving the vehicle.
