Subaru Forester: Seats / Headrest (for rear seat)

The rear seating positions in the Kia Telluride are equipped with headrests to help improve passenger comfort and provide added protection for the head and neck.

The rear headrests are intended not only to support passengers comfortably, but also to help reduce the risk of head and neck injury during certain types of collisions.

For best effectiveness in an accident, each headrest should be positioned so the middle of the headrest is level with the center of gravity of the passenger's head. For most occupants, this point is generally at about the same height as the top of the eyes.

Adjust the headrest as close to the back of the head as possible while maintaining a natural seating posture. Cushions or accessories that push the body away from the seatback are not recommended because they may reduce the protective benefit of the headrest.

Adjusting the height up and down (2nd row seat)

To raise the second-row headrest, pull it upward until it reaches the desired position. To lower it, press and hold the release button (1) on the headrest support, then move the headrest downward to the preferred height.

Removal and reinstallation (2nd row seat)

To remove the second-row headrest, raise it to its highest position, then press both release buttons (1) at the same time while pulling the headrest upward.

To reinstall the headrest, insert the headrest poles into the guide holes while pressing the release button (1). After installation, adjust the headrest to the correct height for the passenger.

3rd row headrest

The third-row headrest automatically folds down when the seatback is folded, helping make the seat folding process smoother and preventing interference with surrounding trim.

To fold the headrest manually, pull the strap.

To return the headrest to its normal position, raise it manually until it is upright.

To raise the center seat headrest, pull it upward to the desired height.

To lower the center seat headrest, press and hold the release button on the headrest support, then lower the headrest to the selected position.

After returning the seatback to the upright position, always confirm that the headrest has locked securely before allowing passengers to sit in the third row.
