Changing tires

• Never attempt to perform wheel replacements or vehicle repairs in active traffic lanes, on highway ramps, or on narrow roadway shoulders.

• Always steer your Kia Telluride completely off the active roadway onto a wide, stable, and level shoulder surface before attempting a tire change. Position the jack exclusively on solid, level ground. If you cannot locate a firm and level area away from moving traffic, contact a professional roadside towing service immediately for assistance.

• Ensure you align the jack head precisely with the designated front or rear reinforced jacking notches on the vehicle frame. Never position the jack under the bumpers, lower suspension arms, floor pans, or body trim for lift support.

• Improper jack placement can cause the vehicle to slip or roll off the lift stand, resulting in severe crush injuries or death.

• Never place any portion of your body underneath a vehicle supported solely by a mechanical scissor jack.

• Do not start, idle, or run the engine while your Kia Telluride is supported by the emergency jack.

• Do not allow passengers to remain inside the cabin or enter the vehicle while it is raised on the jack.

• Ensure all passengers and children are positioned in a safe, secure location well clear of the vehicle and oncoming roadway traffic.

Tire jack

Never place your hands, legs, or torso underneath a vehicle supported only by a portable emergency jack, as unbraked movement can easily cause the vehicle to dislodge and fall. Always place heavy-duty vehicle support stands beneath reinforced frame points before working underneath.

Changing tires

Never attempt to replace wheels or execute mechanical service directly within public traffic lanes or active freeway shoulders.

Running vehicle on jack

Do not start or run the engine while your Kia Telluride rests on the emergency jack, as engine vibrations and driveline torque can destabilize the lift point and cause the vehicle to fall.

• Retrieve the wheel cover remover tool from the storage tray. Carefully insert the tip of the tool into the designated rim notch and lever outward to remove the center wheel cover.

• When removing decorative hub covers, using unapproved prying tools instead of the factory removal key can chip, scratch, or permanently fracture the plastic trim finish.

Retreaded tires

Using retreaded tires on your Kia Telluride is not recommended. Structural variances, hidden internal belt fatigue, and unknown casing age in retreaded tire structures can compromise high-speed tire integrity and negatively impact total driving safety.
