The air bag warning light on the instrument panel is designed to notify you if the Supplemental Restraint System (SRS), including the side and curtain air bags used for rollover protection, requires inspection or service.
If the air bag warning light remains illuminated for longer than approximately 6 seconds after the ENGINE START/STOP button is switched to the ON position, or if it comes on while driving your Kia Telluride, one or more SRS components may not be operating correctly. The system should be inspected by an authorized Kia dealer as soon as possible.
Any of the following conditions may indicate a malfunction within the air bag system. If you notice any of these symptoms, arrange for the Kia Telluride to be inspected without delay.
The warning light does not illuminate briefly when the ENGINE START/STOP button is placed in the ON position.
The warning light remains illuminated after the normal 3–6 second system check.
The warning light comes on while the vehicle is being driven.
The warning light flashes when the ENGINE START/STOP button is turned to the ON position.
