  3. Lane Safety

While the vehicle is ON, tap Setup > Vehicle > Driver Assistance > Driving Safety on the infotainment screen to configure the Lane Safety settings.

Lane Safety: When the system detects that your Kia Telluride is about to leave its lane unintentionally, it can provide steering assistance to help keep the vehicle within the lane boundaries. If the vehicle crosses a lane marking, the system also issues an audible alert together with steering wheel vibration. If Lane Safety is deselected, the Lane Safety indicator (Kia Telluride Lane Safety indicator icon) turns OFF.

WARNING

Even when Lane Safety is disabled, the driver remains fully responsible for monitoring road conditions, maintaining proper lane position, and steering the vehicle safely at all times.

NOTE

  • If you press and hold the Lane Driving Assist button (Kia Telluride Lane Driving Assist button icon) for more than two seconds to switch off Lane Keeping Assist, the Lane Safety setting is also turned off.

  • The Lane Keeping Assist setting is retained even after the engine is turned off and restarted, so it will return to the previously selected state.

CAUTION

  • Towing a trailer or installing a cargo carrier may affect vehicle stability. If necessary, disable the function and operate your Kia Telluride with additional caution.

  • Do not rely on the system while towing another vehicle or when equipment that could influence sensor performance or vehicle balance is installed, as proper operation cannot be guaranteed.

  • When a trailer or carrier is connected, configure the trailer or carrier menu if available. Whether the connection is detected automatically using genuine Kia equipment or selected manually by the driver, certain driver assistance functions may become limited. Refer to the Driver Assistance System limitations and always drive carefully.

TIP

Pressing the Lane Driving Assist button (Kia Telluride Lane Driving Assist button symbol) switches OFF Lane Keeping Assist and disables the Lane Safety function.
