Subaru Forester: Automatic climate control operation / Type A
- Turn the airflow mode selection dial
and fan speed control dial to the “AUTO”
position.
- Set the preferred temperature using
the temperature control dial.
NOTE
Each function can be individually set to
the “AUTO” mode independently of the
other functions. Any function set to the
“AUTO” mode is controlled automatically.
Any function not set to the
“AUTO” mode can be manually adjusted
as desired.
To turn off the climate control system, turn
the fan speed control dial to the “OFF”
position. The status of the air inlet selection
will be changed as follows depending
on the setting when the climate control
system is turned off.
- When the air inlet selection is in “AUTO”
mode, the mode will be set to outside air
inlet.
- When the air inlet selection is in
“MANUAL” mode, the mode from before
the climate control system was turned off
will be maintained.
Press the AUTO button. The indicator
light “FULL AUTO” on the multi-function
display (color LCD) illuminates.

the temperature control dial...

Grease, wax, insects, or other material on
the windshield or the wiper blade results in
jerky wiper operation and streaking on the
glass. If you cannot remove the streaks
after operating the windshield washer or if
the wiper operation is jerky, clean the outer
surface of the windshield (or rear window)
and the wiper blades using a sponge or
soft cloth with a neutral detergent or mildabrasive
cleaner...
