When the vehicle is switched to the ON position and the Electronic Parking Brake system is operating normally, the indicator light shown below illuminates briefly for approximately three seconds before turning off.
|
If the EPB malfunction indicator illuminates while driving, or fails to illuminate during the normal self-check when the vehicle is placed in the ON position, the Electronic Parking Brake system may require inspection. Have your Kia Telluride checked by an authorized Kia dealer as soon as possible.
If the ESC warning indicator is illuminated because the Electronic Stability Control system has a malfunction, the EPB malfunction indicator may also illuminate. This does not necessarily indicate a fault with the Electronic Parking Brake itself.
NOTE
The EPB warning light may illuminate if the EPB switch operates abnormally. Turn the engine off, wait several minutes, and restart the vehicle. If the warning disappears, the switch has returned to normal operation. If the warning remains illuminated, have your Kia Telluride inspected by an authorized Kia dealer.
If the EPB warning light flashes or does not illuminate after pulling up the EPB switch, the Electronic Parking Brake has not been successfully applied.
If the warning light continues to blink, press the EPB switch down, then pull it upward again. If the indicator still does not turn off, have the vehicle inspected by an authorized Kia dealer.
When the EPB is not released
If the EPB cannot be released normally, do not attempt to drive the vehicle. Transport your Kia Telluride on a flatbed tow truck and have the Electronic Parking Brake system inspected by an authorized Kia dealer.
AUTO HOLDThe wiper operates only when the ignition switch is in the “ON” or “ACC” position.
