Subaru Forester: Rear seat adjustment / Folding the rear seat

The rear seatbacks of the Kia Telluride can be folded to accommodate longer cargo or to significantly increase available luggage space when additional passenger seating is not required.

WARNING

Folded Seatback

Never use a folded rear seatback as a passenger seating position. The fold-down feature is intended exclusively for transporting longer or bulkier cargo.

Passengers must never ride on folded seatbacks while the vehicle is moving. Seat belts and occupant protection systems cannot provide proper protection in this position.

To minimize the risk of injury caused by shifting cargo, do not allow items placed on folded seatbacks to extend above the height of the front seatbacks.

Place the rear seat belt buckle into the storage pocket located between the rear seat cushion and seatback, then insert the seat belt webbing into the guide to help prevent damage while folding the seats.

Move the front seatback to an upright position and, if necessary, slide the front seat forward to create sufficient clearance.
Lower the rear head restraints completely.
WARNING

Objects

Do not load cargo above the height of the front seatbacks. During sudden braking or a collision, unsecured objects may slide forward and cause injury or damage inside the Kia Telluride.
Pull the folding lever for the second-row seat or the folding strap for the third-row seat, then fold the seatback forward.

To return the rear seat to the seating position, lift and pull the seatback rearward using the folding lever for the second-row seat or the strap for the third-row seat.
Pull firmly until you hear and feel the seatback lock into place.

Always verify that the seatback is securely latched before allowing passengers to use the seat.

Return the rear seat belt to its normal operating position before using the seat.

The outside temperature is displayed on the multi-function display (color LCD).

NOTE

The outside temperature indicator shows the temperature around the sensor. However, the temperature may not be indicated correctly or the update may be delayed in the following conditions.
