While the vehicle is ON, open Setup > Vehicle > Driver Assistance > Speed Limit on the infotainment screen to configure the available Intelligent Speed Limit Assist settings. These options allow you to customize how the Kia Telluride provides speed limit information and warnings according to your driving preferences.
Country Selection: If navigation is unavailable, you can manually choose the country from the menu. Always select the country where you are currently driving to help the system recognize applicable speed limits correctly.
Speed Offset Setting: Adjusts the speed offset value. The system provides an overspeed warning and recommends or adjusts the operating speed based on the detected speed limit plus the selected offset.
Speed Limit Assist: Intelligent Speed Limit Assist displays detected speed limits and certain supplementary road signs while warning you if the vehicle exceeds the recognized limit. It can also recommend updating the set speed used by Manual Speed Limit Assist or Smart Cruise Control to better match the current posted speed limit.
Speed Limit Warning: Displays recognized speed limits and additional traffic signs while providing a warning whenever the Kia Telluride is driven above the detected speed limit.
Off: Turns Intelligent Speed Limit Assist OFF so that speed limit recognition and related assistance functions are disabled.
TIP
Always park the vehicle in a safe location before changing Intelligent Speed Limit Assist settings through the infotainment system.
TIP
The Speed Limit Assist and Speed Limit Warning functions use the selected speed offset value together with the detected speed limit. Setting the offset to "0" causes the system to provide recommendations or warnings based directly on the posted speed limit.
The Speed Limit Offset setting does not affect the operation of Navigation-based Smart Cruise Control.
