The Kia Telluride allows the doors to be locked or unlocked from inside the cabin using either the interior door handles or the central door lock switch.

Front door
Pulling the inside front door handle while the door is locked will automatically unlock the door and then open it in one continuous motion.
Rear door
Pull the inside rear door handle once to unlock the door.
Pull the handle a second time to open the rear door.
Door lock malfunction
If a power door lock does not operate while you are inside the Kia Telluride, try one or more of the following methods to exit the vehicle safely:
Operate both the electronic and manual door unlocking methods repeatedly while pulling the inside door handle.
Try operating the locks and handles on the remaining front and rear doors.
Lower one of the front windows and unlock the vehicle from outside using the mechanical key.
Move into the cargo area and exit through the liftgate if necessary.
WARNING
Never pull the inside door handle while the Kia Telluride is moving. Doing so may cause the door to open unexpectedly and could result in serious injury.

Door lock
The central door lock switch allows you to lock or unlock all doors of your Kia Telluride from inside the cabin quickly and conveniently.
To lock every door, press the central door lock button (3) located on either the driver's or front passenger's door.
To unlock all doors, press the central door unlock button (1) located on the driver's or front passenger's door.
When all doors are securely locked, the door indicator lights (2) on the front doors turn off. If any door is unlocked, the corresponding indicator light remains illuminated.
If any door is open or not fully latched, the doors will not lock even if the central door lock switch is pressed.

Doors
Always ensure every door is fully closed and locked before driving your Kia Telluride. Properly locked doors help prevent accidental opening while the vehicle is moving and also provide additional protection against unauthorized entry when the vehicle is stopped or traveling at low speed.
Before opening a door, always check for approaching vehicles, motorcycles, bicycles, or pedestrians. Opening a door into the path of traffic can lead to property damage, serious injury, or an accident.
CAUTION
Unlocked vehicles
Leaving your Kia Telluride unlocked may allow unauthorized persons to enter or hide inside the vehicle while it is unattended. Whenever leaving the vehicle, remove the smart key, apply the parking brake, close all windows, and lock every door.

Unattended children, the elderly, or pets
The interior of a parked vehicle can become dangerously hot or cold within a short period. Children, elderly occupants, or pets left unattended inside may suffer serious injury, heatstroke, or death. In addition, children could unintentionally operate vehicle controls or expose themselves to other hazards. Never leave children, elderly passengers, or animals unattended inside your Kia Telluride.
Door lock/unlock features : (if equipped)
This display shows the average vehicle speed since the trip meter was last reset. Pressing the TRIP RESET switch toggles the display between the average vehicle speed corresponding to the A trip meter display and the average vehicle speed corresponding to the B trip meter display. When either of the trip meter displays is reset, the corresponding average vehicle speed value is also reset.
