Subaru Forester: Driver Monitoring System settings / Automatically retract seat on entry setting
- Select “Automatically retract seat on
entry” from the 2nd menu in the settings
screen. Refer to “Setting screen”.

- Select “On” or “Off” to turn the auto
entry/exit function on or off by using the
control switches.
- Select “Set” to exit settings. Select “Go
Back” to return to the previous screen.
Select “User Recognition” from the 2nd
menu in the settings screen. Refer to
“Setting screen”.
Select “On” or “Off” to turn the User
Recognition settings on or off by using the
control switches...
Other information:
CAUTION
Use the emergency brake only in
case of an emergency. If the emergency
brake is excessively used, the
brake parts will wear down faster or
the brake may not work sufficiently
due to brake overheating.
NOTE
While using the emergency brake:
The electronic parking brake indicator
light and the indicator light on the
parking brake switch illuminate and a
chirp sounds...
To prevent skidding and slipping, avoid
sudden braking, abrupt acceleration, highspeed
driving, and sharp turning when
driving on snowy or icy roads.
Always maintain ample distance between
your vehicle and the vehicle ahead of you
to avoid the need for sudden braking...
