If an operational error or electrical fault occurs within the Reverse Parking Collision-Avoidance Assist module or its related sensors and wiring components, a service warning message illuminates on the instrument cluster. The wide-rear view camera lens and rear ultrasonic bumper sensors continuously scan for physical objects surrounding your SUV. Reverse Parking Collision-Avoidance Assist performance may be temporarily restricted or completely disabled if heavy snow, ice accumulation, rain drops, road grime, or foreign debris obscure the sensors or camera lens. You can check the specific blocked sensor or camera location via the service message screen in the utility information view on the digital cluster. Once you clean off the surface contamination, the Kia Telluride driver assist system will resume normal operation. Always keep sensor surfaces clean. If the system continues to report a blockage after thorough cleaning, have the vehicle evaluated by an authorized Kia dealer.
