Subaru Forester: BSD/RCTA OFF indicator light / System temporary stop due to reduced
radar sensitivity

- BSD/RCTA OFF indicator light
This display appears when the detectability
of the radar sensors is reduced. Once
the condition is corrected, the system will
recover from the temporary stop condition
and the indicator will disappear. If the
indicator remains displayed for a prolonged
time, have the system inspected
at a SUBARU dealer.
System malfunction
BSD/RCTA malfunction message
At first, this message will appear

This display appears when a malfunction
occurs in the system...
Other information:
Apply a flat-head screwdriver to the
light cover as shown in the illustration, and
pry the light cover off from the rear gate
trim.
Turn the bulb socket counterclockwise
and remove it.
Pull the bulb out of the bulb socket and
replace it.
Install the bulb socket by turning it
clockwise...
You can set the climate control settings.
Mode Setting
Select “Mode Setting” from the 2nd
menu in the setting screen. Refer to
“Setting screen”.
Select “Normal”, “Mild”, “Power” or
“ECO” by using the control switches. For
