Subaru Forester: Interior features / Cargo security screen: (if equipped)

The cargo security screen in your Kia Telluride serves as an effective way to keep your belongings hidden from view and organized within the cargo area.

WARNING

  • Under no circumstances should anyone be allowed to ride in the luggage compartment; it is strictly intended for cargo transportation only.

  • For better vehicle stability and handling, always prioritize weight distribution by placing heavier luggage as far forward as possible in the cargo area.

NOTE

Never place items directly on top of the cargo security screen, as the weight can damage the screen's structure. Furthermore, unrestrained cargo can shift violently during braking or in an accident, posing a risk of injury to vehicle occupants.

Using the cargo security screen

Using the handle to extend the Kia Telluride cargo security screen
  1. Using the center handle (1), pull the cargo security screen toward the rear of the vehicle.

  2. Secure the screen by inserting the guide pin into the designated guide slot (2).

  3. When you no longer need the screen, pull it slightly backward and upward to disengage it from the guide slots.

  4. The cargo security screen will automatically retract back into its housing.

NOTE

Always pull the screen from the center handle to ensure even tension and prevent the guide pin from inadvertently slipping out of the guide track.

TIP

If the cargo security screen does not retract automatically, it may be because it was not pulled out to its full extension. Pull it out completely, and then release it to allow the mechanism to rewind.
