• Towing a trailer or installing a carrier may reduce vehicle control stability. If necessary, disable the function and always drive the Kia Telluride with extra caution.

• Do not use the system when towing another vehicle or when additional equipment that may affect sensor operation or vehicle balance is installed, as Lane Following Assist may not operate properly.

• When connecting a trailer or carrier, set the trailer or carrier menu if equipped. If the driver sets the menu manually, or if the trailer or carrier connection is automatically recognized through genuine parts, some driver assistance system functions may be limited. Refer to Driver assistance system limitations and continue driving with caution.

• Your Warning Methods settings may also apply to warning methods used by other driver assistance systems.

• Warning Methods keep their most recent settings after the vehicle is turned OFF and restarted.

• The Warning Methods setting menu may not be available on every vehicle, depending on the Kia Telluride specification and equipment.

The following warning messages may appear on the instrument cluster while Lane Following Assist is operating:

• Keep hands on steering wheel

• Lane Following Assist Canceled

When steering assistance is not being provided, the white indicator light () blinks and then changes to gray.

• Lane Following Assist may not provide steering assistance if you hold the steering wheel too tightly or turn it beyond a certain angle.

• Lane Following Assist does not operate in every driving condition. The driver is always responsible for safely steering the Kia Telluride and keeping the vehicle within its lane.

• The hands-off warning message may appear later than expected depending on road conditions. Always keep your hands on the steering wheel while driving.

• If objects are attached to the steering wheel, the hands-off warning may not function correctly.

• If you wear gloves or hold the steering wheel too lightly, Lane Following Assist may not detect your hands and may display the hands-off warning.

• When Lane Following Assist reaches a system limit, the indicator blinks white and an audible warning sounds.

  • System limit: When the driver releases the steering wheel or the vehicle departs from the lane while Lane Following Assist is active.

• Lane Following Assist may not operate normally, or may operate abnormally, when driving through sharp curves.

• When both lane markings are detected, the lane lines shown on the instrument cluster change from gray to white.

• The images, icons, and colors displayed may vary depending on the instrument cluster specifications or selected theme.

• If lane markings are not detected, steering assistance from Lane Following Assist may be limited depending on whether a vehicle is ahead and on the current driving conditions.

• The driver can still control the steering wheel even while Lane Following Assist is providing steering assistance.

• The steering wheel may feel heavier or lighter than usual while Lane Following Assist is assisting steering.

• The lanes displayed in the cluster may not exactly match the actual lane markings on the road.

• Loading cargo beyond the maximum permitted load or distributing cargo unevenly can reduce driving stability and may prevent Lane Following Assist from operating properly.
