If Smart Cruise Control is not functioning correctly, the Master warning light () illuminates on the instrument cluster together with a warning message that remains visible for several seconds. If this occurs, have the Smart Cruise Control system in your Kia Telluride inspected by an authorized Kia dealer.

Smart Cruise Control disabled

Driver Assistance system limited. Radar blocked.

If the front radar cover or radar sensor becomes covered by snow, rain, mud, ice, or other foreign material, the sensor's detection capability may be reduced. Under these conditions, Smart Cruise Control may be temporarily limited or automatically disabled until the obstruction is removed.

When this happens, a warning message and the Master warning light () appear on the instrument cluster for a limited time. This temporary notification does not necessarily indicate a malfunction of the Smart Cruise Control system.

After the radar sensor is cleaned and the obstruction is removed, Smart Cruise Control in the Kia Telluride should return to normal operation. To ensure reliable performance, always keep the radar cover and surrounding area clean.
