Subaru Forester: Opening and closing / Windows

The Kia Telluride is equipped with power windows that are operated using dedicated switches on the doors.

  2. Rear door (left) power window switch

  3. Rear door (right) power window switch

  4. Driver’s door power window switch

  5. Front passenger’s door power window switch

TIP

In cold or wet weather, freezing conditions may prevent the power windows from operating smoothly until the affected components thaw.

The ENGINE START/STOP button must be in the ON position for normal power window operation.

Each door has its own power window switch for controlling that specific window. The driver’s door also includes a power window lock button that can disable rear passenger window operation. After the ENGINE START/STOP button is changed to the ACC position, the power windows can still be operated for approximately 3 minutes. However, if either front door is opened, the windows will no longer operate, even if the 3-minute period has not expired.

If a window cannot close because an object is obstructing its path, remove the obstruction carefully before closing the window again.

TIP

While driving your Kia Telluride with the rear windows lowered, or with the sunroof (if equipped) open or partially open, you may notice wind buffeting or a pulsating sound inside the cabin. This is normal and can often be reduced by taking the following actions:
  • If the noise occurs when one or both rear windows are open, lower both front windows slightly, approximately 1 inch (2.5 cm).

  • If the noise occurs while the sunroof is open, reduce the sunroof opening slightly.

TIP

Do not install accessories that extend into the open window area. Such accessories may interfere with the proper operation of the automatic reversal jam protection feature.

TIP

When you press the one-touch window switch for a small adjustment, the glass may lower to a preset position for convenience.
