  3. Based on Driving Style

While the vehicle is ON, tap Setup > Vehicle > Driver Assistance > Driving Convenience > Smart Cruise Control > Based on Driving Style. When Based on Driving Style is selected on the infotainment system screen, Smart Cruise Control operates by reflecting the way you drive, including following distance, acceleration, and reaction speed.

You can also adjust the driving style manually to better match your preferred Smart Cruise Control behavior.

TIP

  • If the Kia Telluride is equipped with Based on Driving Style, you can choose between Based on driving mode and Based on driving style by tapping Setup > Vehicle > Driver Assistance > Driving Convenience > Smart Cruise Control on the infotainment system screen.

  • While Smart Cruise Control is operating with Based on driving style selected, pressing and holding the Vehicle Distance (Vehicle Distance button icon) button disables Based on driving mode. Press and hold the Vehicle Distance (Vehicle Distance mode change button icon) button to change Smart Cruise Control to Based on driving style mode.

  • Smart Cruise Control learns your driving style only while you are driving the vehicle.

  • When Based On Driving Style is disabled, the learned driving style values, including distance between vehicles, acceleration, and response speed, remain at the same level as the Based On Driving Style function.

  • Whether Based On Driving Style is enabled or disabled, the displayed driving style values, including vehicle distance, acceleration, and response speed, may vary depending on different driving styles.

WARNING

  • Towing a trailer or installing a carrier may reduce control stability. Disable the function if necessary, and always drive the Kia Telluride with extra caution when towing or carrying additional equipment.

  • Do not use the system when towing another vehicle or when equipment that may affect sensor operation or vehicle balance is installed, because Smart Cruise Control may not operate properly.
