The tilt and telescopic steering wheel allows you to adjust both the height and the distance of the steering wheel before driving, helping you achieve a comfortable seating position while maintaining full control of the vehicle. Raising the steering wheel can also provide additional legroom when entering or exiting the Kia Telluride.

Adjust the steering wheel so you can comfortably reach it while maintaining a clear view of the instrument cluster, warning lights, and gauges. Proper steering wheel positioning contributes to safer driving and better control of the vehicle.

Adjusting steering wheel angle and height

1. Pull the steering wheel lock-release lever (1) downward to unlock the steering column before making any adjustments.

2. Move the steering wheel to the preferred angle (2) and slide it forward or backward (3) until it feels comfortable.

   Position the steering wheel so it points toward your chest rather than your face. Make sure you have a clear view of the instrument cluster, warning indicators, and gauges. Once the desired position has been found, return the locking lever to its original position to secure the steering wheel.

3. After locking the steering column, gently push and pull the steering wheel upward, downward, forward, and backward to confirm that it is firmly secured.

4. Complete all steering wheel adjustments before driving your Kia Telluride. Never attempt to reposition the steering wheel while the vehicle is moving.

TIP

On Kia Telluride models equipped with the power steering wheel adjustment feature, use the steering wheel control switch to adjust both the steering wheel angle and its forward or rearward position. Make all adjustments while the vehicle is stationary for maximum safety.
