  1. Turn AUTO HOLD off and release the parking brake while the vehicle is in the ON position.

  2. Firmly depress the brake pedal.

  3. Select N (Neutral).

  4. Release the brake pedal. A confirmation message will appear on the instrument cluster.

  5. Press and hold the OK button on the steering wheel for more than one second.

If the Electronic Parking Brake (EPB) is applied, release it manually while keeping the brake pedal depressed.

On vehicles equipped with EPB, the parking brake is not released automatically when shifting into N (Neutral).

  6. After the message appears on the instrument cluster, press the ENGINE START/STOP button. The Kia Telluride will remain in N (Neutral) after the engine has been switched off.

TIP

If the driver's door is opened within 30 minutes while the vehicle remains in the ACC position, the Kia Telluride automatically shifts into P (Park) and changes to the OFF position.

NOTE

Do not open the driver's door while the vehicle is passing through an automatic car wash tunnel. Failure to follow this instruction may damage the vehicle or the car wash equipment.

If the driver's door is opened within 30 minutes after selecting N (Neutral), the transmission automatically shifts into P (Park).

On vehicles equipped with the Electronic Parking Brake (EPB), the parking brake is applied automatically.

NOTE

When the Kia Telluride remains in N (Neutral), the ignition stays in the ACC position. In this mode, the doors cannot be locked, and leaving the vehicle in ACC for an extended period may discharge the 12V battery.
