Subaru Forester: Smart Cruise Control operation / Turning on Smart Cruise Control

Kia Telluride instrument cluster with Smart Cruise Control activated

Press the Driving Assist button to turn Smart Cruise Control ON. The current vehicle speed is stored and displayed on the instrument cluster as the set speed.

  • If no vehicle is detected ahead, the Kia Telluride maintains the selected cruising speed.

  • If a vehicle is detected in front, Smart Cruise Control automatically adjusts the vehicle speed to help maintain the selected following distance. Once the vehicle ahead accelerates or moves out of the way, the Kia Telluride smoothly returns to the preset cruising speed.

TIP

  • If the vehicle speed is between 0–20 mph (0–30 km/h) when the Driving Assist button is pressed, Smart Cruise Control automatically sets the cruising speed to 20 mph (30 km/h).

  • Pressing and holding the Driving Assist button activates Manual Speed Limit Assist (MSLA).

  • For additional information about Manual Speed Limit Assist, refer to the Manual Speed Limit Assist (MSLA) section.
