Subaru Forester: Rear seats / Window side seating position

- Head restraint
- Release button
To remove:
Press the release button, and pull out the
head restraint.
To install:
Push the head restraint into the holes on
the top of the seatback until it locks. Press
and hold the release button to lower the
head restraint.
After installing the head restraint, make
sure it is securely locked.
Head restraints are installed in all secondrow
seats and can be adjusted as described
below...
CAUTION
The head restraint is not intended to
be used in the retracted position.
Before sitting in the seat, raise the
head restraint to the extended position...
Other information:
Tongue load
Ensure that the trailer tongue load is from 8
to 11% of the total trailer weight and does
not exceed the maximum value of 150 lbs
(68 kg).

Bathroom scale
The tongue load can be weighed with a
bathroom scale as shown in the illustration
above...
Stop the vehicle by depressing the brake
pedal when all of the following conditions
are met. Then the Auto Vehicle Hold
function will operate.
Driver’s door is closed.
The driver’s seatbelt is fastened.
The select lever is in a position other
than the “P” position...
