Subaru Forester: Rear seats / Armrest (if equipped)

To lower the armrest, pull down the top
edge of the armrest.
WARNING
- To avoid serious injury, passengers
must never sit on the center
armrest.
- When using the seatbelt, do not
allow it to become tangled with
an arm rest. The seatbelt will not
perform its original function in an
emergency and it may cause a
serious injury.
WARNING
When you fold down the seatback,
check that there are no
passengers or objects on the rear
seat. Not doing so creates a risk
of injury or property damage if
the seatback suddenly folds
down...
Other information:
A head-on collision against a thick concrete
wall at a vehicle speed of 12 to 19
mph (20 to 30 km/h) or higher activates
only the driver’s SRS frontal airbag or both
driver’s and front passenger’s SRS frontal
airbags. The airbag(s) will also be activated when the vehicle is exposed to a
frontal impact similar in fashion and
magnitude to the collision described
above...
When the procedure to disable the functions
is performed again, a chirp will
sound, and the functions are enabled.
NOTE
The keyless access function will be
enabled only if you perform the procedure
in the same manner used to
disable the function (for example, when
disabling by operating the driver’s
door, the function will not be enabled
even if you operate the access key fob)...
