For additional security, all doors, including the fuel filler door, automatically lock once the Kia Telluride exceeds approximately 9.3 mph (15 km/h).
NOTE
Before refueling, always confirm the correct fuel type for your vehicle.
Using diesel fuel or ethanol fuel in a gasoline-powered Kia Telluride can seriously damage the fuel system and related engine components.
If the fuel filler door cannot be opened because of an electrical malfunction or another system issue, have the vehicle inspected by an authorized Kia dealer.
TIP
If the fuel filler door is frozen shut due to ice buildup, gently tap or press on the door to loosen the ice. Avoid using excessive force or prying tools. If necessary, apply an approved de-icing product around the door, or move the Kia Telluride into a warmer location until the ice melts naturally.
