If Rear View Monitor malfunctions, the image on the display may appear green, blue, black, distorted, or otherwise abnormal.
Visit an authorized Kia dealer if the Rear View Monitor does not operate correctly, if the screen flickers, or if the camera image is not displayed clearly.
If the vehicle remains stopped for an extended time in winter or is parked inside an enclosed parking area, exhaust fumes may temporarily blur the camera image.
The Rear View Monitor image may appear abnormal under the following circumstance:
When the liftgate is open.
WARNING
The Wide Rear View camera does not show the entire area behind the vehicle. Always check behind the Kia Telluride directly and use the inside and outside rearview mirrors before parking or reversing.
The distance shown on the Rear View Monitor may differ from the actual distance because of camera image calibration. If the vehicle is tilted due to cargo loading, Rear Parking Guidelines may not be accurate. Always confirm the surroundings visually before moving.
Keep the wide rear view camera lens clean to maintain clear image quality and proper Rear View Monitor operation. Do not clean the lens with chemical solvents, strong detergents, highly alkaline cleaners, gasoline, acetone, or other volatile organic solvents that may damage the camera.
Driving with the liftgate open is not normal driving operation. For safety, remain alert and drive carefully if this condition occurs.
