Warning Methods

  2. Warning Methods

To adjust the Warning Methods while the vehicle is ON, select Setup > Vehicle > Driver Assistance > Warning Methods on the infotainment display. The available setting includes:

  • Parking Safety Priority: Automatically lowers the volume of other audio sources whenever the Rear View Monitor or related parking assistance systems are active, making important parking alerts easier to hear.

TIP

  • The selected Warning Methods configuration may also be shared with other Kia Telluride driver assistance and parking safety systems.

  • Your Warning Methods preferences remain stored after the vehicle is turned OFF and restarted.

  • Depending on the trim level, software version, or market specification, some menu items may not be available.

Camera Settings

While the vehicle is ON, tap the Settings icon (Kia Telluride settings icon) or navigate to Setup > Vehicle > Driver Assistance > Parking Safety > Camera Settings on the infotainment screen to customize the Rear View Monitor features.

Extended Rear View Monitor

When Extended Rear View Monitor is enabled, the rear camera image remains displayed even after shifting from R (Reverse) into N (Neutral) or D (Drive), providing additional visibility while completing low-speed parking maneuvers.

Rear View Parking Guidance

When this feature is enabled, Rear View Parking Guidance and Top Rear View Parking Guidance overlays appear on the display to help estimate the vehicle's position while reversing.

Display settings

You can adjust the brightness for daytime or nighttime viewing as well as the contrast of the Rear View Monitor image to improve visibility under different lighting conditions.

TIP

  • Depending on your Kia Telluride configuration, some camera settings may not be available.

  • The horizontal guide lines shown by Rear View Parking Guidance represent approximate distances of 20 in (0.5 m), 40 in (1 m), and 91 in (2.3 m) behind the vehicle.

  • The Top Rear View Parking Guidance scale indicates the approximate liftgate opening area and a reference distance of 60 in (1.5 m) from the rear of the vehicle.

    This display shows the average vehicle speed since the trip meter was last reset. Pressing the TRIP RESET switch toggles the display between the average vehicle speed corresponding to the A trip meter display and the average vehicle speed corresponding to the B trip meter display.
