Subaru Forester: Manual seat (if equipped) / Reclining the seatback

Pull the reclining lever up and adjust the
seatback to the desired position. Then
release the lever and make sure the
seatback is securely locked into place.
The seatback placed in a reclined position
can spring back upward with force when
the lever is pulled. When operating the
lever to return the seatback, hold the
seatback lightly so that it may be raised
back gradually.
When the lever is pushed down, the seat
is lowered.
When the lever is pulled up, the seat
rises.
The height of the seat can be adjusted by
moving the seat adjustment lever up and
down...

WARNING
Fastening the seatbelt with the webbing
twisted can increase the risk or
severity of injury in an accident.
When fastening the belt after it is
pulled out from the retractor, especially
when inserting the anchor
tongue plate into the mating buckle
(on right-hand side), always check
that the webbing is not twisted...
Stopping the engine
The ignition switch should be turned off
only when the vehicle is stopped and the
engine is idling.
WARNING
Do not stop the engine when the
vehicle is moving. This will cause
loss of power to the power steering
and the brake booster, making steering
and braking more difficult...
