Remote Smart Parking Assist leverages a comprehensive suite of advanced front, front-side, rear-side, and rear ultrasonic sensors strategically positioned around the vehicle. This intelligent driver-assistance system actively detects suitable parking spaces and manages automated steering, speed control, and smooth gear transitions. Designed for ultimate convenience, RSPA allows drivers to maneuver their Kia Telluride seamlessly into and out of tight parking spots entirely from the outside using the smart key.

Kia Telluride performing Remote Smart Parking Assist maneuver using smart key control
  • Remote Smart Parking can be safely operated from outside the vehicle by using the dedicated directional buttons on your Kia Telluride smart key fob.

  • When Remote Smart Parking Assist is actively engaged, the vehicle's integrated Parking Distance Warning (PDW) and Surround View Monitor (SVM) activate simultaneously to deliver full situational awareness. For detailed operating guidelines and safety boundaries, refer to the Parking Distance Warning and Surround View Monitor sections.

WARNING

  • Never attempt to disassemble, modify, or apply severe mechanical impact to any ultrasonic sensor or its surrounding bumper assembly, as structural damage can compromise system calibration.

  • If foreign materials such as snow, ice, mud, road grime, or heavy rain obscure an ultrasonic sensor, detection accuracy may be significantly impaired. Always inspect all sensors before activation and clean dirty sensor lenses gently using a soft, damp microfiber cloth.

  • Avoid applying excessive physical force directly to the sensor faces, and never strike them with hard objects or clean them with sharp, abrasive tools that could scratch the delicate housing surface.

  • Do not direct high-pressure water spray nozzles straight at the ultrasonic sensors when washing your Kia Telluride, as high water pressure can disrupt delicate internal wiring and seals.

  • Remote Smart Parking Assist may fail to operate properly if the original bumper height or factory sensor installation parameters have been altered, or if aftermarket accessories, license plate frames, or decorative stickers intrude upon the sensor's clear field of view.
