Subaru Forester: Driver assistance guide / Safe Exit Assist (SEA)

Kia Telluride Safe Exit Assist monitoring approaching rear traffic

When the Kia Telluride is stationary, Safe Exit Assist helps reduce the risk of opening a door into the path of an approaching vehicle. If the system detects a vehicle approaching from the rear within the monitored warning zone while a passenger attempts to exit, it provides a visual warning, an audible alert, and other appropriate notifications to help prevent a potential collision.

Kia Telluride electronic child safety lock operation with Safe Exit Assist

If the electronic child safety lock is set to the LOCK position and Safe Exit Assist detects an approaching vehicle within the rear warning area, the electronic child safety lock (Kia Telluride electronic child safety lock indicator) will remain engaged. Even if the unlock button is pressed, the rear doors will stay locked until the potential hazard has passed.

TIP

The timing of Safe Exit Assist warnings may vary depending on the speed and direction of the approaching vehicle.
