Subaru Forester: Power liftgate: (if equipped) / Setting the power liftgate

The Kia Telluride allows you to customize several power liftgate functions for greater convenience. You can select your preferred opening speed and maximum opening height through the infotainment system. If you do not wish to use these features, they can be disabled in the settings menu.

Power liftgate opening speed

To adjust the liftgate operating speed, tap Setup > Vehicle > Door > Power liftgate opening speed > Normal/Fast in the infotainment system. The factory default setting is Fast.

Power liftgate opening height

To customize the maximum opening height, tap Setup > Vehicle > Door > Power liftgate opening height > Full Open/Level 3/Level 2/Level 1/User height setting in the infotainment system.

For additional information about these settings and available options, refer to the supplied infotainment system manual.

User height setting

1. Manually move the liftgate to the opening height you prefer.
2. Press and hold the power liftgate open/close button located on the inside of the liftgate for more than three seconds.

   Once the preferred position has been stored, selecting User Height Setting allows the Kia Telluride power liftgate to automatically stop at your customized opening height each time it is operated.

   TIP

   • If a custom opening height has not yet been stored, selecting User Height Setting will cause the liftgate to open completely.

   • If you previously selected one of the preset opening heights (Full Open, Level 3, Level 2, or Level 1) and later save a custom height, the liftgate will thereafter open to your manually stored position whenever User Height Setting is selected.

   • The selected opening speed and opening height are linked to the active user profile. When the driver profile changes, the Kia Telluride automatically applies the corresponding power liftgate preferences associated with that profile.
