Subaru Forester: Power liftgate: (if equipped) / Resetting the power liftgate

Under certain conditions, the Kia Telluride power liftgate may require a system reset to restore normal operation. This procedure may be necessary in the following situations:

• After the 12V battery has been recharged.

• After the 12V battery has been removed and reinstalled or replaced.

• After the related fuse has been removed and installed again or replaced.

To reset the Kia Telluride power liftgate, follow these steps:

1. With the vehicle either running or switched off, move the transmission into P (Park).
2. Press and hold both the interior and exterior power liftgate open/close buttons at the same time until you hear a confirmation chime.
3. Slowly lower the liftgate by hand until it is fully closed.
4. Press the exterior power liftgate button. The liftgate will begin opening automatically with a chime.

   Allow the liftgate to complete the full opening cycle. If it stops before reaching the fully open position, the reset procedure will not be completed successfully.

   TIP

   If the Kia Telluride power liftgate still does not operate correctly after completing this procedure, have the system inspected by an authorized Kia dealer.
